Residential Deck Addition – Acushnet, MA

New Construction – Single Family

May 15, 2014

Acushnet, MA 02743

Joe Arruda Construction provided turnkey construction for a new single family home on a confined lot.

With almost 3000SF of finished space, this efficient 3-4BR/3Bath floorplan has 2car garage and several amenities (at about 20% less than single story construction).

Note: We’d like to give a nod to Parkside Excavation for their septic/site planning and sitework services on a challenging parcel.

2nd FL Addition & Remodel – Westport MA

May 15, 2014

Westport, MA 02790

Joe Arruda Construction, Inc. designed and executed a total home remodel for our clients (a large family who needed every inch of functional space).

New Construction, Tiverton, RI – Single Family Home

May 11, 2013

We recently Framed & Finished the  exterior of this new home in Tiverton, RI for a Developer.

(Developer will list it for sale once they have finished the interior – link will be posted here soon)

Note: Vinyl Siding achieves a nice clean look when it is installed properly – good lines, aluminum trim details and all the benefits of a maintenance free exterior (without sacrificing on curb appeal).  In this case there is a little wood trim mixed in on the front porch.

Building on a budget doesn’t mean you have to compromise on appearance.

Kitchen Remodel – Progress Photos

June 25, 2012

This Ranch home had an out-dated kitchen.  The owners, Paul & Jenn, wanted a new eye-catching and functional Mediterranean style.

Jenn has great taste and Joe had some excellent design ideas.

Below is a series of pictures showing concept drawings  – with before, during, and after photos.

A memorable and distinctive kitchen for great customers (this was a fun project):

Ochre Lodge (completion)

May 19, 2012

After a few short weeks to complete the structural alterations and all new framing, we have turned the building over to the Roofing & Siding crews.

Our scope of work is now complete and we’re moving on to the next project.

Lori’s “Thank You” Note

April 3, 2012

Client Testimonial:

(We received this very kind note the other day.  Thanks Lori!)

Your professionalism, your attention to detail, your willingness to work with ‘our’ sub-contractors, and your patience  as we planned and made changes along the way is greatly appreciated.  You went out of your way to accommodate us.   And, I have to say, you have the nicest and most polite crew!

It was a real pleasure working with you and them!

Jenn’s house has to be the greatest remodel with the smallest budget.

Thanks for everything, Joe!           – Lori  (Dave & Jenn, too!)

Scope of Work:
Residential Remodeling Project

Ochre Lodge (day1-3)

March 30, 2012

The “rebuilding” stage of the Ochre Lodge Annex is now underway (dormitory on the Salve Regina Campus).

The initial intent was to salvage as much of the existing building as possible.  Ultimately, due to rot, insect infestation and other factors of age/structural integrity, all that remains are the first floor wall studs.

Below are a few progress photos from Day1 & Day3 reconstruction (prepping for the 2nd floor deck):

The engineered floor system is arriving today.  We can now start “going up” with the 2nd Floor and it will rapidly begin to resemble the old shape & size of the original structure.  The push is on to meet an aggressive deadline.

Next stop: ridge line
